SEMARANG 2025 – Amidst shifting accounting industry standards that are now moving towards technology integration and sustainability reporting, the need for accountants who are not only experts in calculations but also strategic has become crucial. Trisakti School of Management (TSM) has once again proven its quality as a producer of outstanding talent. Recently, six Accounting students from the class of 2022 successfully demonstrated that the TSM curriculum is in line with the demands of the modern workplace through their outstanding achievements at the national level.
The journey to the podium was not easy. The 2025 Diponegoro Accounting Competition (DAC) organized by Diponegoro University presented very complex challenges. With the theme “Unlocking the Pathway to Sustainable Governance: A Deep Dive into Leveraging Technology for Enhanced Sustainability and Accountability,” this competition encouraged participants to think far beyond the traditional accounting cycle.
The TSM delegation had to face intense intellectual pressure, competing fiercely with finalists from top universities such as UI, Unair, and PKN STAN. Round after round, from the online preliminary to the adrenaline-pumping quiz, tested their mental agility.
Facing this pressure, this major step began with the formation of two student teams that represented TSM’s seriousness in honing the talents of its students by carrying out the mission of “Academic Implementation.” The uniqueness of these two teams lies in the synergy between their different educational backgrounds, which is their main strength:
- Team TRIUMPH: Comprised of Mina Amelia (an alumna of SMK Kristen Immanuel Pontianak), Jordi Arliandro (an alumnus of SMK Bakti Pangkalpinang), and Vania Sutanto (an alumna of SMK Cinta Kasih Tzu Chi).
- Team MIRACLE: Led by Felice Priscilla (an alumna of SMA Kasih Kemuliaan), Hansen Untung (an alumnus of SMK Tarakanita), and Vanesa Kiungista (an alumna of SMK Pelita IV).
The strategy they implemented was to divide roles specifically according to individual expertise. In between their busy college schedules, they spent time conducting in-depth research on the latest issues and consistently practicing questions. Not only that, presentation simulations were carried out to ensure their arguments were sharp and persuasive in front of judges.
Their hard work finally paid off. Their meticulous strategy and sharp analysis enabled the TSM delegation to excel among its competitors. The TRIUMPH team brilliantly secured the top podium as the 1st place winner, while the MIRACLE team successfully cemented its position in 3rd place.
“Team harmony, mutual trust, and the ability to follow the flow of the competition were the keys to our success. We learned that on the competition stage, it’s not just about who is the smartest, but who is the most adaptable,” said one of the team representatives proudly.
This double victory at DAC 2025 is not just an addition to the trophy cabinet. This achievement is validation that Trisakti School of Management (TSM) remains firmly established as a top-tier institution that consistently produces competitive accounting practitioners who are ready to take on the challenges of the global industry. This success is expected to spark enthusiasm among all students to continue exploring their potential.
May this achievement be the first step towards further accomplishments that will elevate the name of Trisakti School of Management to even greater heights.
