Students of Trisakti School of Management (TSM) once again demonstrated their academic excellence at the national level as the Senelice Team secured First Place at the UNAIR National Accounting Competition 2025. Organized by Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), Surabaya, and held on 15–17 November 2025, the competition served as a strategic platform for students to address pressing challenges in sustainable accounting, an area increasingly demanded by the business world and the accounting profession.
Team Senelice served as a delegation from the Accounting Department, Class of 2023, consisting of Hansen Untung (alumnus of SMK Tarakanita), Evelyn Fernia Marjono (alumna of SMAK 6 Penabur), and Felice Priscilla (alumna of SMA Kasih Kemuliaan). With informational and facility support from TSM, they committed to participating in this annual competition to uphold the institution’s tradition of academic excellence at the national level. Their participation was also driven by a strong desire to contribute their best efforts for their alma mater in the arena of competition among leading universities.
The competition carried the theme “Countering Greenwashing: Enhancing Public Awareness of Green Accounting,” highlighting the issue of greenwashing practices in corporate reporting. Participants were required to identify misleading environmental claims and formulate solutions based on green accounting principles through stages that included material selection, case study analysis, and a final presentation.
During the preparation period, the team focused on strengthening their understanding of green accounting concepts while conducting intensive presentation practice. The question-and-answer session became the main challenge, as it required strong logical reasoning, clear argumentation, and comprehensive mastery of sustainability issues.
“We had to ensure that every answer was delivered in a structured and convincing manner. That’s why we focused on deepening our understanding of the concepts and building confidence from the very beginning,” said a representative of the Senelice Team. Strong teamwork and in-depth analysis proved to be key factors in their success, allowing them to outperform other participants, including PKN STAN as the second-place winner and Universitas Brawijaya in third place.
This achievement is expected to encourage the adoption of more transparent and responsible business practices. It also reflects TSM’s role in supporting students to achieve academic excellence and actively contribute to the development of sustainable accounting practices.
