As part of state-level educational diplomacy, the Global Relations Office (GRO) of Trisakti School of Management (TSM) conducted an official visit to Dili, Timor-Leste, from 8–12 December 2025. The primary agenda of this visit was to fulfill the official invitation of the President of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste, H.E. Mr. Dr. José Ramos-Horta, held at the State Palace of Timor-Leste, Palácio Presidenté Nicolao Lobato.
The meeting at the Presidential Office marked a strategic moment for GRO TSM in strengthening institutional relations and fostering high-level dialogue on the development of the education sector in Timor-Leste. This invitation reflects the appreciation and commitment of the President of Timor-Leste toward the active role of Trisakti School of Management in supporting educational cooperation between Indonesia and Timor-Leste.
The TSM delegation consisted of Dr. H. Aulia Danibrata, S.E., M.M.; Dr. Wibisono Soediono, S.E., M.B.A., CMA., QRGP; Arton Briyan P., S.M., M.M., CMA; Debora, S.E., M.Ak., CAP., CertDA; Erika Jimena A., S.E., M.M., CRP., CPF., CFP., CSA; and GRO Assistant, Jeremy Novlanka Siburian. The delegation was received directly by President José Ramos-Horta at the Presidential Office, Aitarak Laran Room.
During the meeting, both parties discussed the current development and future direction of education in Timor-Leste. President José Ramos-Horta expressed his appreciation for TSM’s contribution to improving the quality of higher education, particularly through its collaboration with the Institute of Business (IOB) Timor-Leste, including the provision of scholarships to seven students from Timor-Leste.
As a follow-up to the state-level agenda, the GRO TSM visit also included a series of academic and institutional activities. On 9 December 2025, the delegation carried out an International Community Service Program at Escola ETI Dili. Subsequently, on 10 December 2025, the delegation delivered a Guest Lecture at the Institute of Business (IOB) Timor-Leste as a platform for knowledge exchange and the strengthening of cooperation implementation, followed by an additional visit to the State Palace of Timor-Leste.
The series of activities concluded on 11 December 2025 with a visit to the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia (KBRI) in Timor-Leste, where the delegation was received by the Education Attaché, Prof. Dr. Tasrifin Tahara, M.Si. The discussion focused on the strategic role of higher education in strengthening bilateral relations between Indonesia and Timor-Leste, as well as future opportunities for academic collaboration.
Through this official visit, Trisakti School of Management, through its Global Relations Office, reaffirms its commitment to continuously strengthening international cooperation, promoting educational diplomacy, and contributing to the development of an inclusive and sustainable educational ecosystem.
