Bandung, October 2025 – Through their student representative team, Bluebook, TSM students successfully won 2nd place in the Business Case Competition (BCC), which was part of the Investment Festival (INFEST) 2025 series.
This prestigious competition, organized by the Economics and Capital Markets Study Group of the Bandung Institute of Technology (KSEP ITB), ran from August 25 to its climax on October 4, 2025.
This remarkable achievement is the result of the synergy between three accounting students from the class of 2023: Cathlin Apsari, an alumnus of SMAN 1 Maumere; Nopia Widiacandra, an alumnus of SMA Kesatuan; and Khayla Khairunnisa Putri Santoso, an alumnus of SMA Taruna Terpadu.
Their achievement is all the more remarkable given the competition involving collaboration between students from elite universities such as the University of Indonesia (UI), Binus University, and the host
institution, ITB.
With the theme “Navigating the Future: Smart Investment in the Times of Changes,” this competition was designed to test participants’ acumen in formulating solutions to real business problems. Participants were required to make smart, adaptive, and relevant investment decisions amid economic uncertainty and global technological disruption.
Through two intensive stages, starting from in-depth data-based analysis in the online preliminary round to presentations in front of a panel of professional judges in the offline final round, Team Bluebook
was able to demonstrate a standard of quality that exceeded expectations.

Final PPT Presentation Documentation by the Bluebook Team, October 4, 2025
For Team Bluebook, participating in INFEST 2025 was not just about winning, but also about exploring synergies between the academic world and industry practitioners. The collaboration between KSEP
ITB and Kiwoom Sekuritas was the main attraction for the team to gain direct insights from the capital market industry.
“Collaborating with Kiwoom Securities provides direct insight into the industry, so that the solutions we develop are not only theoretical, but also relevant to real-world practices. Through this experience, we
were able to develop our ability to work in a cross-perspective team and understand the professional application of business analysis,” said a team representative.
The journey to the championship podium was accompanied by highly structured preparation. The team began by dissecting case studies and then compiling a slide deck that highlighted data-driven analysis, risk mitigation, and the sustainability impact of the proposed solutions. Entering the final round, this process was further refined through intensive mentoring sessions that helped the team clarify the logic and substance of their presentation.
The main strategy implemented was a precise division of roles based on each member’s specialization, from raw data processing and strategy development to the design of a persuasive visual presentation. However, the biggest challenge arose when they had to bring together different perspectives within the limited time available before the final. Open communication and data-based compromise were key to the team’s solidarity and adaptability.
“The main factor behind our success is not merely technical, but rather our deep understanding of the material and team cohesion. We strive to thoroughly understand every implication of the solutions we
propose, so that during the question and answer session, we are able to present logical and convincing arguments in front of professionals,” they added.
Achieving 2nd place in an event of the caliber of INFEST ITB provided TSM students with a wealth of learning experiences, from improving their problem-solving skills and preparing persuasive pitch decks to mastering communication strategies in front of a panel of expert judges. This experience is also expected to be a strong motivation for them to continue to exceed their limits.
Closing this journey of achievement, the Bluebook Team hopes that the knowledge gained from the collaboration process, mentoring, and jury evaluation can be applied in their future careers. This victory
proves that TSM students have intellectual competitiveness on par with other top universities, while also inspiring all TSM students to continue actively participating in various academic competitions in the future.
