Students of Trisakti School of Management (TSM) have once again achieved a brilliant national-level accomplishment. The Grogol Based Team, comprising Muhammad Rifky Alfitra, Destiana Suharyanto, and Cathlin Apsari, successfully acquired this achievement. They claimed 1st Place in the Business Case Competition, which was a prestigious branch of the Budi Luhur Business Management Festival 2025, organized by Universitas Budi Luhur in Jakarta.
In line with the theme The Role of Local Brands in the Nation’s Future, the team formulated an essential oil downstreaming strategy, focusing on innovation, business strategy, and sustainability. Industry analysis, competitive advantage assessment, and the clear articulation of a value proposition formed the foundation of their strategic plan. Their final presentation was stunning, presenting structured arguments, relevant data support, and a realistic elaboration of the implementation plan.
The final round featured fierce competition involving ten teams from various universities. During this stage, all teams were tested on their ability to analyze cases, formulate strategies, and defend their arguments before a panel of professional judges. The judges’ assessment placed TSM as the 1st Winner, followed by Universitas Bunda Mulia as 2nd Winner, and Universitas Indonesia as 3rd Winner.
Following the competition, the Grogol Based Team is committed to continuing the development of their strategic proposal, particularly focusing on partnerships with MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) actors, quality standardization, and digital brand strengthening. The team hopes the proposal can serve as a guideline for real implementation in the field and encourage the emergence of globally competitive local brands. Their commitment to expanding networking, deepening market research, and participating in future competitions remains on the team’s agenda as a form of sustainable contribution to the national business ecosystem. This achievement simultaneously underscores TSM’s commitment to developing outstanding talent ready to contribute to strengthening the national business ecosystem.
