TERNATE 2025 – On the international stage, the line between an ordinary competitor and a champion is drawn by a single crucial variable: intellectual resilience under pressure. Trisakti School of Management (TSM) has just delivered a powerful statement regarding its educational quality, which transcends national standards. Through the impressive performance of the ActCountThink team, TSM successfully secured the 1st Place title at the 2025 International Accounting Competition (IAC), proving that its talents are not merely competitive but are the true standard-setters at a global level.
Carrying the vision “Bridging Innovation and Integrity: Enhancing the Professionalism of Accountants in the Global Era,” this event was designed as a filter for elite future accountants. Out of 33 competing teams, participants were tested through three intensive elimination phases: team logic testing in the multiple-choice round, in-depth theoretical analysis in individual essays, and technical diplomacy in the English-language final presentation.
For the TSM delegation, this competition was not just a test of knowledge, but a test of mental endurance. Facing formidable finalists from major institutions such as Parahyangan Catholic University and Diponegoro University, the ActCountThink team brought a standard of preparation that far exceeded the average.
This victory was achieved through the synergy of three Accounting students from the Class of 2022: Handy Brilliant (alumnus of SMK Kristen Immanuel Pontianak), Kezia Grace Nathaniel (alumna of SMA Poris Indah), and Steven (alumnus of SMA Yos Sudarso Batam).
While other teams might have settled for theory, ActCountThink chose the path of “Total Preparation.” They dedicated hours without pause to researching materials, deconstructing presentation structures, and conducting repeated simulations before facing the judges.
“We realized that the performance on the final stage is a reflection of the hard work behind the scenes. Practicing all day until late at night was no longer about exhaustion; it was about ensuring every argument we presented was flawless. This was a one-day struggle for an enduring victory,” a team representative stated.
The final result stands as a testament to that dedication. Their analytical sharpness and confidence in presenting complex solutions propelled TSM to the top of the podium. This success outperformed Parahyangan Catholic University in 2nd Place and Diponegoro University in 3rd Place.
This achievement serves as validation that the curriculum and mentorship at Trisakti School of Management (TSM) are highly relevant to the demands of international professionalism. For Handy, Kezia, and Steven, this 1st Place title is the first step toward continuously achieving excellence at even higher levels.
May this monumental achievement set a new benchmark for all students to continue elevating the name of Trisakti School of Management to the highest peaks of the world.
