The strategic analysis and problem-solving abilities of Trisakti School of Management students once again gained national recognition through their achievement of 2nd Place at the ECHOVENTION Business Case Competition 2026. Organized by Universitas Prasetiya Mulya from February 28 to March 14, 2026, the competition brought together university students from across Indonesia to tackle competitive and strategy-based business case challenges.
The TSM representative team consisted of Geraldo Owen Putra Lie (Alumnus of SMA Budi Agung/崇德三语学校), Nopia Widiacandra (Alumna of SMA Kesatuan), and Jenny Viviana (Alumna of SMA Darma Satria Persada). The team joined the competition to broaden their experience, strengthen their ability to solve real business cases, and build a portfolio that would support their future career development.
ECHOVENTION 2026 carried the theme “Transforming Business Resilience Through Strategic Adaptation,” challenging participants to create innovative and realistic business solutions in response to various corporate challenges. Through case analysis and pitch deck presentation stages, participants were required to think critically, formulate measurable strategies, and deliver solutions effectively under time pressure.
During their preparation process, the team focused on developing structured business solutions and creating clear, communicative pitch decks. They also conducted intensive presentation practices to build confidence and prepare for the Q&A sessions. One of the biggest challenges they faced was managing limited time and handling pressure throughout the competition.
“We applied the Pareto Principle by focusing on the most impactful aspects, such as problem analysis, solution development, and pitch deck delivery. Strong team communication and clear task distribution became our main keys to success,” said the team representative. This strategy successfully helped the team stand out among strong competitors from leading universities, including Universitas Indonesia as the first-place winner and ITB in third place.
Through this achievement, the team hopes to continue developing their skills in business analysis, problem solving, and public speaking. This accomplishment is also expected to inspire other students to further explore their potential and confidently compete at the national level through various academic competitions, while once again reinforcing Trisakti School of Management’s commitment to producing competent, adaptive, and nationally competitive students.
