Bandung, May 2026 – The tradition of excellence and resilience among Trisakti School of Management (TSM) students on the national competition stage has once again yielded outstanding results. At the prestigious Widyatama Accounting Competition 2026 (WAC 2026), hosted by Widyatama University from April 11 to 29, 2026, the TSM student delegation achieved remarkable success by sweeping the top positions. The First Place title was secured by Team SAR, consisting of Jason Harlee Jonathan (alumnus of SMA Negeri 19 Jakarta), I Nyoman Wirananda Tejaguna (alumnus of SMA Katolik Sang Timur), and Ni Kadek Devyananda Diah Putri (alumna of SMK Negeri 23 Jakarta). Equally impressive, the second-place title was won by the Accounthree Team, featuring Theodora Frizca (an alumna of State High School 1 Sungai Liat), Jagrajdep Singh (an alumnus of Mutiara 17 Agustus High School), and Hans William Wirawan (an alumnus of Notre Dame Jakarta).
With the theme “Accounting Odyssey: Set Sail for Financial Glory,” this national college-level accounting academic competition is designed as a platform for future accountants. The competition emphasizes the importance of preparing professionals who not only excel in technical skills such as the preparation and analysis of financial statements but also possess integrity, professional ethics, innovation, and a commitment to addressing the social and environmental impacts of every financial decision. Through various challenges and complex case studies that reflect modern accounting practices, all participants are required to think critically and solve real-world problems professionally.

Their journey to securing second place out of a total of 28 competing teams was achieved through thorough preparation and a high level of consistency. The tactical approach adopted by Team Accounthree was to strengthen their theoretical understanding of topics closely related to the fields of Accounting and Taxation. They prepared independently through intensive discussions and in-depth study of the material using high-quality modules and textbooks used at TSM. A combination of strong mastery of the material, solid teamwork, and a bit of luck were the key factors that led to their outstanding performance before the panel of judges.
For both teams, this national level competition provided valuable lessons on the true essence of the accounting profession. They gained a deep understanding that an accountant’s success is not measured solely by financial performance, but also by the ability to uphold transparency, accountability, sustainability, and ethical decision-making in order to have a positive impact on the organization and society at large. This experience also serves as an important addition to their portfolio, broadening their horizons as they face future career challenges.
This achievement feels particularly special and reaffirms TSM’s absolute dominance at the highest national level. The SAR Team and the Accounthree Team successfully stood their ground and excelled among various prestigious universities in Indonesia, with third place going to Gadjah Mada University (UGM) and fourth place to Parahyangan Catholic University.
