Jakarta, August 3, 2026 – Trisakti School of Management (TSM) remains committed to raising the caliber of its faculty members’ scientific publications on the national stage. One concrete step toward this goal is the organization of a two-day series of training sessions on academic promotion mentoring, held from August 3 – 4, 2026. This program is specifically designed to enhance faculty members’ technical competencies in writing scientific articles that meet national accreditation standards, thereby supporting the acceleration of their academic promotion.

Interestingly, preparations for this training had already been underway since the beginning. The JJA TSM team had distributed foundational materials to serve as a starting point for participants to engage in self-directed learning. The materials shared are no joke, ranging from the tactical module “Tips & Tricks for Getting Published in SINTA 2 Journals” compiled directly by Dr. Astrid Rudyanto, CSRS., CMA., CAP., CGBA., Managing Editor of the Journal of Business and Accounting and Head of Research and Community Service at TSM to the practical guide “AI Prompts to Assist in Writing Scientific Articles.”

In the pre-training materials, it was emphasized that Sinta 2 publications adhere to scientific standards that are just as rigorous as those of Scopus. The difference lies solely in the target audience and the scope of the index, with Sinta 2 focusing more on local contexts and policies in Indonesia, while Scopus targets readers interested in global issues and cross-national generalizations. This presents a significant opportunity for faculty members to incorporate strategic national issues into their scholarly work.

The use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology was intentionally highlighted as one of the main topics in this training to accelerate the writing process without compromising researchers’ scientific integrity. Before attending today’s in-person session, participating faculty members were required to complete PHASE 1: Data Exploration, Statistical Testing, & Theoretical Construction with the help of tactical instructions (AI prompts) that had been prepared.

This structured pre-training process was intentionally implemented to ensure that faculty members acquire a solid foundation in data analysis and research frameworks. In this way, the core principle is upheld: organizing the data and actual findings first, and only then constructing the narrative. In addition, this session also guides faculty members to use tools such as NotebookLM for initial literature exploration, ChatGPT or Gemini for drafting chapters, and Claude for refining the language (humanizing it) in the final stage.

Since Phase 1 had already been completed, this two-day intensive mentoring session proved far more effective. Training time was no longer spent tinkering with raw data from scratch; instead, participants could immediately focus on analyzing the key obstacles that often lead to manuscripts being rejected by reviewers. Some of the key topics covered included formulating a specific Research Question (RQ), techniques for writing a synthesized literature review (rather than merely a summary of studies), and strengthening the Discussion section to address the “Why,” “How,” “What,” and “So What” elements.

The synergy between the availability of real-world data from faculty members and the efficiency of AI as a writing tool is expected to significantly reduce the time required to draft journal articles. Through this program, TSM reaffirms its commitment to continuing to foster an academic environment of excellence through faculty members’ high-quality research contributions that adhere to journal standards and have a tangible impact on the field of education in Indonesia.
