Jakarta, August 17, 2026 — Under the bright morning sky, the academic community of Sekolah Tinggi Ilmu Ekonomi (STIE) Trisakti gathered for a flag-raising ceremony commemorating the 81st Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Indonesia at the STIE Trisakti Jakarta Campus.
Carrying the theme “Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia,” this year’s commemoration served as a moment to reflect on the meaning of independence and the role of every individual in carrying it forward. The theme serves as a reminder that true independence is measured not only by political sovereignty, but also by the justice and prosperity experienced by the people.
The ceremony proceeded in an orderly and solemn manner, with Dr. H. Aulia Danibrata, S.E., M.M. serving as the Inspector of the Ceremony. During the ceremony, the Preamble to the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia was recited by Dr. Wibisono Soediono, S.E., M.B.A., CMA., QRGP., followed by a prayer led by M. Ali Subkhan, S.E.
In his address, the Inspector of the Ceremony emphasized the importance of viewing independence as a responsibility that must continue to be upheld through attitudes and meaningful actions. The message served as a reminder for the academic community to carry out their respective roles with integrity, professionalism, and dedication in facing the challenges of the future.
As a higher education institution, STIE Trisakti embraces the meaning of independence through its role in advancing education and preparing a generation capable of contributing to Indonesia. This commitment is reflected in an educational approach that not only equips students with relevant competencies, but also fosters character, integrity, and readiness to adapt to change.
These values are also reflected in the sense of togetherness shared throughout the commemoration at STIE Trisakti. More than a ceremonial occasion, the flag-raising ceremony served as a reminder to carry the spirit of national unity into academic life through learning, attitudes, and the work produced by the academic community.
For STIE Trisakti, the spirit of “Sovereign, Just, and Prosperous Indonesia” is more than a theme on paper. It serves as a guiding principle in preparing competent and integrity-driven individuals who are ready to embrace the challenges shaping Indonesia’s future.
