Jakarta, April 17, 2026 – Trisakti School of Management (TSM) once again organized an international academic activity through a Guest Lecture featuring H.E. Mr. Prapan Disyatat, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Thailand. Carrying the theme Thailand and Indonesia Relations, the event provided students with insights into the bilateral relationship between Thailand and Indonesia, covering various aspects such as diplomacy, economy, education, and culture.
During his presentation, H.E. Mr. Prapan Disyatat explained an overview of Thailand, including its political system, economic conditions, education sector, and cultural diversity. He also introduced several well-known Thai festivals, such as the Songkran Festival and Loi Krathong Festival, which are important parts of Thailand’s cultural identity.
In addition, H.E. Mr. Prapan Disyatat elaborated on the long-standing diplomatic relations between Thailand and Indonesia, which have been established since 1950. In 2025, both countries officially elevated their bilateral relations to a Strategic Partnership as a form of strengthening cooperation in various strategic sectors. From an economic perspective, Indonesia is one of Thailand’s major trading partners in ASEAN, with a trade value reaching USD 19.5 billion.
The event also highlighted the important role of younger generations in strengthening international relations in the future. During his presentation, H.E. Mr. Prapan Disyatat emphasized that the relationship between Thailand and Indonesia is built not only through government cooperation, but also through people-to-people connections, cultural exchanges, and contributions from the younger generation.
Through this Guest Lecture, TSM students are expected to broaden their global perspectives and understand the importance of international collaboration in today’s dynamic world.
